 (Translated freely: By Elias Bejjani) A bunch of mercenary Lebanese politicians and officials have become masters in public disguise and cheating techniques. They mislead people, betray their trust and make them preys for devastating foreign schemes. As a result of their treason, people suffer poverty, imprisonment, confusion, displacement, pain and occupation. they raise national slogans, deliver fiery speeches and issue camouflaged statements, all fake and conniving. Meanwhile their behavior and attitudes are opposite to the slogans they pretend to advocate for. Any one who digs through recent Lebanese history will find numerous models of such politicians and officials who commit all kinds of atrocities with no conscience or remorse. Because of them people are humiliated and their sacrifices not honored. Lebanese people are aware of the actual aims and deceiving nature of the mercenary politician's mockery behavior. They know that these politicians and officials are imposters, chameleons, opportunists and not trustworthy. Only a small minority support such officials, and those who take such a stance are themselves opportunists and side with who ever is in power. Some officials pose with rhetoric stances against the Israeli occupation, while practically they do every thing needed to maintain this occupation and solidify its existence. They create obstacles to prevent the Lebanese Army from confronting this occupation, leaving the matter to be handled merely by a civil resistance. They harass, intimidate and put on trial Lebanese citizens, who flee the occupied regions and take refugee in areas under the state's authority. They hinder the implementation of UN resolution # 425, that calls on Israel to withdraw its troops. They do so despite the fact, Israeli has agreed to withdraw and has called several times openly on Beirut's regime to negotiate this withdrawal and the security arrangements needed to end its occupation. Some politicians allege to be against Syria's occupation and its hegemony over Lebanon. Meanwhile they court puppet Lebanese Syrian installed officials, praise their treason and endeavor to reach secret deals with them in a bid to secure an official status or a position. They publicly attack Syria, the occupier, while secretly cajole her and declare their blind unconditional submission to her orders "Farames". Still other officials go to the extreme in praising what they call freedoms, sovereignty independence and security in Lebanon and promise the people peace and prosperity. Meanwhile freedoms are oppressed, free voices muffled, human rights infringed on, and subservience to Syria has reached every field including thievery, atrocities, crimes etc. At the same time Lebanon's borders are open with no restrictions for criminals and outlaws. These officials who brag about freedom and independence can't appoint even a guard without Syria's approval. Because of oppression, the majority of the Lebanese focus only on how to put bread on their tables We can't be blind, deceive ourselves or pretend the general status in Lebanon is okay. In fact no body would expect any thing different from such a bunch of mercenary, conscienceless officials who practice exactly the opposite to what they preach This painful frustrating occupational status makes us hold stronger to our faith, beliefs, stances and pure patriotic Lebanese convictions. The Lebanese patriots, will remain as always, courageous in witnessing for the truth, honor their promises, committed to the liberation cause and practice what they preach. Integrity in life requires homogeneity between convictions and behavior. While resurrection of nations requires leaders not followers, men not men-like creatures and strong, not shaky stances.
