FOR CRIME

Crime in Lebanon is escalating on a daily basis and on all levels since 1990. The regime is not doing anything to protect the citizens and many Lebanese believe some prominent officials are even involved with gangs terrorizing the country. Last Sunday it was learned that a gang of non-Lebanese thieves has been terrrorizing El Maten Al-Chemali area for almost one month. The gang cleaned out the towns of Broummana and Beit Mery, then carried on to Roumieh. In one week, twenty houses were ransacked and some were even attacked twice in the same day. The thieves, who seem to have good military training and advanced weapons, jump from the roof houses like Ninjas , and spray their victims with sleeping substances leaving them unconscious, then loot their houses. Numerous crimes also happened lately in El Maten in which several shop owners were killed and and their shops looted. None of the criminals were arrested and it is worth mentioning that the El-Maten area has been occupied by a large number of Syrian soldiers ever since October 13th, 1990.
Last Monday, the 14th of September, Dr. Salim Salheb's (President of the National Block Party) house in Ont-Elias city was ransacked during the daylight hours. The furniture and everything else in the house was stolen; even the window frames were pulled out. The thieves apparently had a truck to load what they stole and it had to have taken them a few hours to to finish the job. The question is: Where were the security forces all this time?
Currently, everybody in occupied Lebanon is aware that 99% of crimes are not made public. The "Taef" regime puppet officials and the mercenary media rarely report incidents of robberies, armed break-ins, crimes and other chaotic security conditions, except when it serves the interests of the regime and its foreign masters. Even when they do, they try to comouflage facts and give irrational, fake justifications that do not change the painful reality, and the result is more crime and more insecurity. The oppressed citizens remain the victims who pay with their lives, money and personal security to alone bear the responsibility of this devastating situation created by the "brotherly" occupation.
Mercenary journalists, officials, as well as those in the ranks of the pseudo-opposition, became professional 'creative' experts in justification, fake analysis and the art of incrimination. They do so as ordered by their masters, the "brotherly occupants". Thanks to the Syrian-brothers and their imposed "Taef Regime", Lebanon's 6000 year history and civilization has become a country of poverty, oppression, nepotism, favoritism, scandals, Mafioso and gangland of embezzlement and extortion.
After each crime, the regime figures determine instantly who is responsible. Who else, except Israel and its agents? Security Issues are philosophized and obscured with other ongoing political crisis in a bid to amalgamate the official's fake statements with the citizens' cries for help. The end result is that neither the official's statements are taken seriously, nor are the citizens' cries heard.
The puppet official's double, triple and quadruple personalities combined with their lack of conscience, makes them pose with their criminal records. These same officials changed their skin after being appointed officials. They are now condemning the acts of those criminals who in fact took them as their role-models. The entire regime's previous allegations in regards to maintaining security, peace and law enforcement vanished into thin air and proved to be null and void, especially during the latest wave of security disarray in "El-Maten Region"
The "Taef" regime figures from day one in office were and still remain a cover for the occupation. They legalized corruption and generalized its practice all over the country's institutions. They embezzled and stole everything and anything their hands could grasp. They divided the country's income and all its resources portions among themselves.
The entire regime's acts are cultic in essence and tailored to camouflage the "brotherly" occupation forces barbaric practices. Its political and social security slogan (maintaining national security and internal peace) is a big joke. It differentiates between a brotherly and an enemy occupation and bomb-shelling. The question is: what is the difference to the victim if a brother or an enemy kills him? Abel was just as dead when his brother, Cain murdered him.
The "Taef" regime figures must look thoroughly into the precipitating factors of the wave of the ongoing security disarray since 1990. Once the causes are identified it becomes possible to develop an actual, realistic, effective plan to contain the chaotic situation. The simple contradiction remains: How can a criminal preach to another criminal not to kill or steal. In fact, the regime figures themselves are the main cause of this security turmoil. The criminals took them as their role-models.
Since "Taef Accord" was forced on the Lebanese in1990, committing crimes, robberies, and treasonous acts became major assets for citizens who pursue governmental posts. Those who are creative in committing these atrocities are rewarded and appointed as Prime Ministers, Ministers, Undersecretaries, Parliamentarians etc.
Requirements for an official post include also ignorance, absence of conscience, collaboration, dishonesty and an unlimited treacherous ambition and drive. The nominee must have these prerequisites before he can present his academic and professional qualifications.
It is ludicrous for Lebanon's puppet officials to justify the ongoing security disarray by economical excuses or attribute it to Israel and other internal and foreign powers. The one and only cause for all the miseries that Lebanon is encountering on all levels lies in the "brotherly occupation" hegemony. Everything else is more symptoms of the one disease. The occupation is the disease and unless it is treated radically by surgery, there is no hope for recovery. Lebanon 's situation will deteriorate more and more.
