GLORY FOR THEM, PERSECUTION
& DEPRIVATION FOR US

It is an honor for the resistance to be born from the nation's womb,
It is an honor for the resistance to be supported willingly form all its citizens,
It is an honor for the resistance to be a vehicle for achieving objectives that could not be reached through peaceful means and in peaceful milieus.

Resistance becomes the last resort when people are faced with dead ends, when words lose their actual meaning, and when law loses its obligating power. Resistance is resorted to when all other means fail in protecting and preserving peoples' rights of self-respect, self-determination, freedom, independence, dignity, sovereignty, notional history and identity.

Apparently, the holistic concept of honor has been blurred in this materialistic era and accordingly substituted by pragmatic stances that go smoothly with the criteria of power and individual interests. The national resistance must stay above all these mockeries, honor all codes of ethics and principles, appeal to all its citizens, make them feel proud with its achievements and sacrifices, and personify their convictions, dreams, aspirations and options. The national successful resistance is the one that renders the majority of its citizens ready to empathize and sympathize with its cause and fate. The successful resistance is the one that makes the people feel genuinely the oneness in status with it.

Lebanon, at the present time, needs badly a national, honest resistance born from its own womb. A resistance that carries the Lebanese pains and fears, fights the occupation forces regardless of their affiliation, priorizes Lebanon's national interests, its objectives are pure Lebanese as well as its leadership, conduct and code of beliefs.

If such a resistance emerges in Lebanon these days, we would be genuinely concerned for its fate. We would be concerned it might deviate from its national track, advocate for deceptive slogans, carry a fake flag, wage a mercenary fight and use the Lebanese people and Lebanese soil as fuel and arena for the wars of others.

We want the resistance to be from us and for us,
We want to see our selves in it,
We do not want it to be affiliated to any political party, religion, denomination or faction,
We want it to be for all the Lebanese and to personify their entire national will.

We refuse a resistance that is a religion, a faction, or group that sides with a Lebanese community against another,
We refuse a resistance that is used as chip and serves non-Lebanese interests,
We refuse to sacrifice a genuine Lebanese resistance under any given circumstances,
We refuse to see it being divided, scattered and disintegrated,
We refuse to see it wither and die, because then we will suffer the same fate.

We refuse a resistance that turns down all peace proposals and solutions for the mere purpose of rejection,
We refuse a resistance that has no rational in its decisions and conduct,
We refuse a resistance that has no logic, no discretion in handling national matters,
We refuse a resistance that reacts to all solutions and proposals for peace and stability in a negative manner,
We refuse a resistance that is used for murder, intimidation and threats,
We refuse a resistance that blindly shields and protects its foreign custodians, resists on their behalf, wins for them and loses alone,
We refuse a resistance that kills under its name and flag while in fact serving the interests of non-Lebanese parties and countries.

We refuse a resistance that acts like an ostrich, burying its head in the sand and believing that if she can't see the atrocities committed, nobody can,
We refuse a resistance that turns a blind eye on massacres, displacement and property destruction acts inflicted on its own people,
We refuse to see our people suffer, while the whole world is watching with indifference, We hate to see the Arabs reacting with a laissez-faire stance towards our ordeals while the Syrian regime hunts for opportunities on own our national account.

We are so eager to have an authentic, national Lebanese resistance, but unfortunately all our calls for such a resistance are still in vain and fall on deaf ears. We took the law as a shield, but found no protection or future guarantees for our beloved country.
While the war is killing our people, apparently an unfair imposed peace would take us out of the equation in the area and practically cancel our existence as independent sovereign country with a distinguished identity.

We refuse the only option offered to us, the bitter option of death. We have no other choice, but to say "no" loudly and strongly to all unfair proposed solutions that turn us into a piece of cake to be divided by other parties. We are surrounded by brutal enemies who want our people and beloved country to be a chip and a card in their negotiation process.

We refuse this role and insist on being equal to everybody else in the area. We call for justice, fairness and equality because there will be no guarantees for an imposed solution based on oppression, persecution and unfairness. The guarantees for the success of any long lasting, just solution are a fair law, a solid will, a strong national belief and a readiness for struggle and resistance,

We as Lebanese qualify for all of the above.

Long Live Free Lebanon.
