LEBANON THE HOSTAGE

In a world like ours, people are accustomed to live waiting and expecting rulers' promises to be fulfilled. They move from one critical stage to another witnessing the deterioration of their living and economical conditions. They also witness bitterly the collapsing process of their society, social status, principles, dreams, hopes, families and traditions.

In a world like ours, citizens are accustomed to accept what the tyrant regimes force on them with a subservient approach. They move from one occupation to another while glorifying, cajoling and justifying their countries' tumble. They legalize their oppression, harassment, torture, humiliation and starvation. They race to defend the occupier's stance, interests and the wisdom and tactfulness of dictators and tyrants.

In a world like ours, people are accustomed on supplicating and panhandling. They voluntarily abandon their own rights, consider the food put on their table a gift from the tyrants, freedom a grace form another world, law a vehicle to tame them, and favoritism a sword for their protection.

In a world like ours, people are accustomed to be classified into statuses and levels. They accept the way they are classified, brag with their subservience and feel comfortable with their submissive stances. They pursue kowledge, education and science and then act with ignorance, awkwardness and subservience.

In a world like ours, people are accustomed to renounce their nations. They relinquish their friends, curse their ancestors, disappoint their martyrs, disgrace their principles and hail the glory of an oath and slogan.

Currently we hear again that we are going to encounter an ill-fated time. We hear about designated dates, dead lines, magic anticipated solutions and a genuine will to engage in a new era of peace

We know exactly what we don't want. We know what is restricted and forbidden on us and that we are used as a mere chip in conflicts and crisis that is ripping us into pieces through greediness and grudges.

It would be great if we can reach a consensus on what we need and on the conditions and interests we deem necessary for our future. It would be great too, if we can speak for ourselves and be free from restrictions and chains. Our land is left unguarded, our will confiscated, our government a subservient and our children, spirits, properties are fuel for the war

Fear has dominated our hearts and made our people resort to exaltation strategies for condemnation, criticism and expression. They hail the wisdom of a foreigner tyrant who is monopolizing their country's fate and condemn a patriotic democratic free leader who knew no defeat (General Michel Aoun). The world has abandoned the patriotic leader who fought bravely for the Lebanon's just national cause and who honored the commitment of his oath in defending Lebanese blessed soil and principles. He maintained the hope for liberation, strengthened the people's faith, enlightened their hearts and held high the torch of heroism, liberation and dignity.

Meanwhile the Lebanese-Syrian installed regime is a puppet that receives its orders from the occupier with full submission. Its officials are like robots, they compete frantically in groveling, cajoling and flattering the occupier. Mercenary journalists, loyal and opposition politicians, analysts and informers are all used like rubber stamps by the occupier.

In the middle of all these hardships the Lebanese citizens patiently document for history, watch thoroughly, question intelligently and definitely will make each and every leader accountable for his acts when time comes.

Long Live Free Lebanon.
